MOSL members approve 2022-25 business plan
At a General Meeting on Friday, water wholesalers and retailers formally approved MOSL’s business plan for 2022-25, including the budget for year one, 2022/23.
This will allow the market operator to spend £9.675m on core service delivery, and an additional £1.875m on improvement programmes this year. The plan rationalised last year’s nine improvement programmes down to five: Bilateral Transactions Programme, Strategic Metering Review, Market Performance Framework Reform, Data Insight and CMOS Modernisation.
MOSL chief executive, Sarah McMath, commented: "Whilst we recognise the economic climate and the ongoing pressures that trading parties are facing, I believe the plan and budget set out represents value for money for our members and, ultimately, business customers.
“This work cannot be delivered in isolation, and we are at a critical point in the market with the regulatory reviews firmly underway. I look forward to working closely with you and your teams as we deliver the plan and unlock the value of this market.”
