MOSL has published two new interactive maps providing data for all interested parties on when smart meters are expected to reach business customers. One shows planned start date for the rollout for each postal sector area by water wholesaler region in England and Wales. The other shows planned completion date.
MOSL has placed each postal area into a colour-coded group, denoting different time periods. These range from ‘implementation started/completed’ to ‘over five years’ before start or completion is expected. Grey is for areas where wholesalers have not yet provided data to inform the map. This will be coloured over time, but at present includes large areas of the south east, south west, Wales and north west.
Users can search and zoom into specific areas and click on the maps to discover further information about the selected postal sector by wholesaler, including planned start and end dates for smart metering, current proportion of non-household meters that are working as smart within the selected area, and wider context on the wholesaler’s smart approach and targets.
