MOSL chief joins utility women's network board

MOSL chief executive, Sarah McMath, has joined the Women’s Utilities Network Board (WUN) as a director.

The 3,600-strong not-for-profit organisation was founded by a group of women with successful careers in energy and water to help other women “to build the right networks, get the right training and take control of their own work lives at whichever stage of their career they are at.”

WUN said women represent only 17% of the utility sector workforce and 78% of the top, UK energy companies have no women in executive roles.

McMath (pictured) said: “We still have a way to go in utilities, which is why the Women’s Utilities Network and its work is so important.” She pledged to work within WUN “to build a community of women who can connect, support, develop and encourage one another in the industry I love.”
