More water company climate adaptation reports published

Defra is continuing to publish data provided by water companies under the third round of the Adaption Reporting Power under the Climate Change Act 2008.

Last week, policy papers from Thames Water and Portsmouth Water were made available, joining those published in January by Anglian, Northumbrian, Severn Trent, South West, Southern, United Utilities, Wessex, Yorkshire, Affinity, Bristol, SES and South East, as well as Ofwat and the Environment Agency.

The Climate Change Act allows the government to ask certain organisations to produce reports on:

• the current and future predicted effects of climate change on their organisation; and

• their proposals for adapting to climate change.
