Modular and sustainable water treatment specialist RSE reported a 30% growth in revenue to £257m, and operating profit of £20m (up from £14m) for the year to 31 March 2024.

The majority of the growth was organic, as the company expanded its footprint across the country from its traditional Scottish roots. But RSE also completed two acquisitions in the year.

All retained profits were reinvested in product development and innovation, including new modular treatment plants that can be deployed in half the time and at 85% lower carbon than traditional solutions.

Chief executive Stephen Slessor said: “By combining modular engineering, cutting edge technology and sustainable practices, we are transforming how water treatment facilities are designed and delivered, creating tangible environmental and economic benefits.”
