Minor updates to Customer Protection Code of Practice

Ofwat is consulting until 23 October on minor changes to the Customer Protection Code of Practice (CPCoP) for non-household customers in the retail market.


The changes concern clarifications, administrative updates, the removal of Covid-19 provisions and proposed amendments to allow Ofwat to make future non-substantive changes to the CPCoP without the requirement for a formal consultation.


Following its Call for Inputs on the CPCoP, Ofwat said it would deal with more significant and complex changes separately.
