Mike Keil confirmed as CCW’s permanent chief executive

by Karma Loveday

The Consumer Council for Water (CCW) has confirmed that Mike Keil, who has been acting as interim chief executive since October 2023, will take up the role on a permanent basis.

Keil has been with CCW for seven years, having previously served as head of policy and research and then senior director of policy, research and campaigns.

Keil said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be leading the fantastic team at CCW on a permanent basis. There’s never been a more crucial time for a strong consumer voice in the water sector. Everyone at CCW is focussed on working with the sector to restore trust and the current price review is an important step in that process. Reliable, sustainable and affordable water and sewerage services are a necessity, not a luxury.”
