Jonson Cox to say on as Ofwat chair for six more months

Defra has extended Jonson Cox’s term as Ofwat chair by a further six months, to the end of April 2022.

The latest extension will bring Cox (pictured) to nearly a decade as chair of the water regulator. He was first appointed in November 2012, reappointed for a second term which was due to end in October 2020, and then extended for a year to the end of October 2021, before the most recent extension.

Defra also reappointed Ofwat board non-executive directors since April 2016 Mark Bayley and Alison Munro to serve until 30 October 2025.
