Jacobs appoints new chief
Jacobs has appointed current chief operating officer, Bob Pragada, as chief executive officer.
He said he will “remain focused on continuing Jacobs’ efforts in the areas of water infrastructure, environmental resiliency, energy transition, electric vehicles, life sciences and semiconductor manufacturing.

Pragada (pictured) joined Jacobs in 2006, and held several senior management positions in the following eight years. He returned to Jacobs in 2016 as president of the global Industrial and buildings & infrastructure businesses and led the integration of technical services provider in infrastructure, water, environmental and nuclear CH2M following its $3.3bn acquisition. He was also instrumental in Jacobs'
investment in digital consulting firm PA Consulting, where he now serves as a Board member. He was appointed president and chief operating officer of Jacobs in 2019.
Pragada brings more than 30 years of global business leadership and military experience to Jacobs, including 17 years with the company and nine years as a civil engineer corps and Seabees officer with the US Navy where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
