Innovation festival to feature teenage work experience show

Northumbrian Water has announced that its 2024 Innovation Festival will feature a work experience mini festival for teenagers running along the main event.

The Young Citizens Work Experience Festival will be aimed at introducing 14-18 year-olds from local schools into the world of work and “giving them precious hands-on experience". The main annual Innovation Festival – Northumbrian Water's eighth – will be at its established venue in Newcastle Racecourse during 8-11th July 2024.

The main festival will comprise its time-honoured array of sprints (rapid fire design projects seeking to address significant water-related challenges) and data hacks. This year’s theme will be Speed and Scale.
