GHD wins design deal with Wessex Water
Professional services firm, GHD, has won a contract to provide design services for Wessex Water’s PR24 capital programme.
GHD will provide services including optioneering, feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, construction support, and ongoing assistance to Wessex Water’s design teams for the AMP8 regulatory period. The six-year contract includes an option for an extension of up to five years.
GHD said its work will focus on “decreasing storm overflow and leakage, enhancing water quality, protecting biodiversity, and improving the resilience of the water system”.
Engineering and delivery director at Wessex Water, Paul Lewis, said the contract will enable the water company to provide a “much wider reach for the delivery, training, development, secondments and apprenticeships across the partnership.”
