Gap site and vacancy incentive scheme information to be taken out of code documents

Information about wholesaler policies related to gap site and vacancy incentive schemes is to be centralised on the MOSL website.

The Code Change Committee (CCC) recommended, and Ofwat approved, a plan to move this information – on the financial incentives individual wholesalers offer to retailers to identify gap and vacant sites in the business market – out of code documents, to save code changes being required to keep the data fresh.

Ofwat said it hoped the shift would increase visibility and uptake of the schemes, enable more timely information updates, and reduce a burden on the CCC.
