Galliford Try pioneers engineering services partnership to support expanded AMP8 delivery

by Karma Loveday

In preparation for steep increases in delivery capacity requirements in 2025-30, construction firm, Galliford Try, has pioneered a partnership with a number of consultant engineers, to help water companies access guaranteed levels of high-quality design engineering resources.

Under the "first for the sector" arrangement, consultants AtkinsRéalis, WSP, Binnies, Sweco and GHD enhance Galliford Try’s own in-house multi-disciplinary capability with "specialist skills across feasibility, outline design, detailed design and ongoing technical services".

The initiative, known as GT5C, is available to water companies across the UK, and uses a common service level agreement, data transfer environment, performance management regime and standardised terms and conditions, to mirror Galliford Try’s internal design capability.
