Future Water awards C-E grades for UK water and wastewater networks

The Future Water Association (FWA) has given C-E grades for all aspects of performance of UK water and wastewater networks.

The grades, set out in a new Future Water Report Card which uses an exam-style A*-F scale, are derived from a survey of over 100 stakeholders under the FWA’s Networks November programme last year. The grades were :

Mains leakage C

Asset health D

People C/D

Sewer maintenance D

Customer side leakage D

Innovation C/D

Research D/E

Sewers (operation capacity, CSOs) E

The Future Water community made a series of recommendations to boost performance.
