First Reading for Water Quality Monitoring Bill

Liberal Democrat MP for Tiverton and Honiton, Richard Foord, last week presented a new bill to the House of Commons concerned with monitoring environmental water quality.

The Water Quality Monitoring Bill seeks to confer powers and place duties on the Environment Agency in respect of the monitoring of water quality; and to make provision about environmental permits for water discharge activities.

It is due for a Second Reading on 23 February 2024.
