Energy & Utility Skills' apprenticeship standards arm gets regulatory seal of approval

Apprenticeship standards assessor, Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service (EUIAS) has achieved regulated status by the qualifications regulator, Ofqual.

EUIAS is the sole end-point assessment organisation (EPAO) for the industry’s five apprenticeship standards. Chief executive of EUIAS parent, Energy & Utility Skills, Phil Beach CBE (pictured), said: “As the former executive director for vocational and technical qualifications at Ofqual, I know from experience that recognition is a high bar, and our successful first-time application validates the quality of EUIAS provision.”

Since last year all EPAOs have required recognition by Ofqual.
