Environment, Food and Rural Affairs committee appoints interim chair

The Environment Food and Rural Affairs Committee has appointed Labour MP, Geraint Davies as its interim chair.

Davies (pictured) will chair meetings until "a new substantive chair is elected by the House". Details of the election of the new chair will be announced by "in due course."

A new chair for the committee was required following the resignation last week of Neil Parish as a Member of Parliament.
