Defra updates water indicators supporting its 25 Year Environment Plan

Defra has updated its Outcome Indicator Framework for the 25 Year Environment Plan (25YEP) – a set of indicators which describe the state of the environment and support monitoring of environmental change relating to the ten goals in the 25YEP.

The 2021 framework, published last week, updated the 2019 version and provided updated data corresponding to 45 of the 66 indicators.

The table shows the water indicators available, together with their headline status where relevant and the relevant primary goal in the 25YEP.
