CMA prepares for PR24 with standalone rules for water appeals
The Competition and Markets Authority is consulting until 12 September on setting out standalone rules and guidance for water redetermination references.
At present, the CMA’s rules apply to a range of matters, including merger reference, market reference and special reference groups. Ahead of the PR24 Final Determinations and potential resulting appeals, it said it wanted to make sure its rules and guidance “fully reflect the specific requirements of water redetermination references.”
The proposals take learnings from the PR19 cases, and include updates on matters including the appointment and conduct of case panels, timetables and procedures.
