CMA clears Pennon’s Bristol takeover under the Enterprise Act

On Friday, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) cleared the completed acquisition by Pennon Group of Bristol Water under the provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002. It said the full text of the decision will be available shortly.

The CMA launched its merger inquiry under the Water Industry Act on 27 October, and there is a deadline for a Phase 1 decision on that of 22 December.
