CIWEM appoints new chair

The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) has appointed Annie Shepperd OBE as its new chair.

Shepperd (pictured) is currently the chief executive for Salix Finance, a government-owned company that drives the decarbonisation of the public sector in the UK. She will leave this post later this year.

She was awarded the OBE in 2017 for her services to energy efficiency and child protection.
