Cambridge wastewater plant relocation decision delayed
by Karma Loveday
Defra has extended the deadline for environment secretary Steve Reed to make a decision on Anglian Water’s application for a Development Consent Order for the Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Plan Relocation Project.
This is normally required within three months of the Examining Authority’s report. But in a ministerial statement, Reed said the decision would now come by 14 April, given the application was made under the previous government’s planning system and a new system was formalised in December.
