Business Stream halves its carbon emissions in 12 months

Business Stream halved its carbon emissions between April 2022 and April 2023

. The retailer, headquartered in Edinburgh and with bases in Worthing and Bradford, has reported that it outstripped its target to cut emissions by 20% in the year. It said that its reduction in 2021-22 was 25% and it has a goal of being net zero carbon by 2030, 15 years ahead of the Scottish government ambition.

Business Stream's emission reduction measures include replacing its diesel fleet with electric vehicles (EVs) and providing an EV salary sacrifice scheme; pursuing a climate-conscious travel policy; and investing in energy-efficient air conditioning units.

Additionally, as part of its Making A Positive Difference policy, Business Streamported it has pledged to help its customers reduce their water usage by 20% and planted 10,000 trees in Scotland.
