Business Stream has climbed into the 98th percentile of the EcoVadis global sustainability assessment.

The retailer increased its gold-level score from 74/100 last year to 80/100 in January 2025. This included achieving 86/100 in the environment category, with high scores also on labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis assesses more than 150,000 companies in over 200 industries on their sustainability credentials. The assessment is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000 certification.

Sophia Goring, head of Environmental, Social and Governance at Business Stream, said the score reflected her company’s commitment, and that: “The EcoVadis assessment enables us to not only benchmark our progress against international best practice, but to identify further ways we can strengthen our sustainability offering in the year ahead.”
