British Water hits refresh with eye on world leadership

In its 30th anniversary year, British Water has produced a new vision, values and strategy statement and called on members for feedback.

Vision: “Our Vision is for the British Water sector to lead the world in outcome-focused water and wastewater planning, management, implementation and optimisation that maximises biodiversity and positive benefits for people. British Water will be at the heart of this, facilitating inclusion and opportunity for all.”

Values: “We will always strive to be collaborative, authentic, trusted and approachable.”

Strategy: “Our Strategy is to inspire, engage, integrate, and deliver independent and neutral thought leadership and represent the water supply chain in the wider context of the UK and international water markets. We will ensure we are highly valued by our members, partners and communities for the additionality, diversity, inclusivity and sense of common purpose that we bring. Strategic achievement of our vision will be through the UK Forum, International Forum, Technical Forum, and our independent and neutral Water Industry Forum.”

British Water has asked members for feedback by 8 September on being part of the community and their key challenges, to help further shape the vision and its implementation.
