BIM4Water appoints new chair

Industry association for organisations engaged in Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the water sector, BIM4Water, has appointed Clare Kovacs as vice chair to the BIM4Water Steering Group

National Rehearsal Lead with MWH Treatment, Kovacs (pictured), has previously chaired the BIM4water 4D Task Group looking at digital rehearsal for capital deliver on UK Water Industry projects. She will shadow the current chair, Jamie Mills, until June 2022 when she will take over as chair of BIM4Water. Kovacs said: "I am keen to encourage more diverse attendance and participation at events and within the Task Groups. Ensuring we engage at all levels, reaching out to academia and join forces with other BIM Alliance groups.” She said her aims for the future included, “to drive more actionable outputs from all groups going forward. I want to bring this drive to the water sector and get BIM implemented in the industry”.
