Arqiva appoints new chief of operations

Communications provider Arqiva has appointed Mark Steele as chief of operations. 

Arqiva said Steele was appointed to the post in an interim capacity in spring 2024 and his permanent appointment followed a competitive recruitment process. 

Steele joined Arqiva in 2015 in a project capacity before being appointed director of service operations later the same year. In 2021 he became director of field operations to manage UK TV and radio broadcasting and smart utilities networks. 

His 25-year career has included senior leadership roles at Virgin Media, Telewest Broadband and Yorkshire Electricity.
