Anglian Water teams up with mental health support provider to address bill anxiety

Anglian Water has launched a partnership with the UK confidential text messaging, mental health support service, Shout.

Shout said, since its launch in 2019, it had held more than two million conversations with people who were anxious, lonely, stressed, depressed or suicidal and who need urgent support.

The aim of the partnership is to raise awareness of the Shout service to Anglian Water customers.

Shout's Customer Services Partnerships Manager, Beth Kennedy, said: “We know bills can weigh on your mind - that’s why we’re working with Shout to help our customers get mental health support if they need it.”

Head of Commissioned Partnership at Shout, Henry Mace, said: Financial difficulties now feature in more than 60 conversations every day with Shout texters. This partnership will ensure thousands of people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed have immediate support."

Shout is run by charity, Mental Health Innovations.
