Anglian Water claims UK first in leak detection

Anglian Water has claimed to be the UK’s first water company to trial a combined-technology detection and measurement system for real-time leakage in water mains without interrupting supply.

The technology – developed by Electro Scan – uses multi-sensor, low-voltage conductivity and acoustic technology to listen for and find leaks along with high-resolution closed-circuit television to navigate within the mains pipes.
