Anglian in river restoration and disability support schemes
by Karma Loveday
Anglian Water plans to invest over £7m across 16 separate schemes designed to restore unique river habitats, improving ecology and biodiversity. The work, part of the £300m investment fast tracked under the Green Recovery, will be delivered by Binnies, Five Rivers and Jackson alongside the established Catchment Based Approach (CaBA) partnerships.
Separately, Anglian Water said last week that it will be providing additional funding alongside SGN and UK Power Network to allow Scope to increase the number of people that can be helped by the Disability Energy Support with Water Advice helpline. This launched in December 2020 and is a cross-utility partnership with Scope to help disabled customers manage their utility bills.
