Anglian claims its smart meters will save 7Ml of water by 2025

Anglian Water has forecast that by 2025, 7Ml of water will have been saved through its its smart meter programme by spotting leaks and empowering customers to use water differently.. And the company has claimed the programme took £15m off annual water bills last year.

The company has installed more than half a million smart meters since the programme began in 2020, and 100,000 leaks in customers’ homes have been found and fixed.

The company is delivering a £180m roll out of 1.1m smart meters in homes and businesses in the 2020-25 period, with a further 1.2m to be installed between 2025-2030.
