Anglian Water has signed a £1bn deal for an unincorporated joint venture between AtkinsRéalis, Mace and Turner & Townsend to act as its programme delivery partner until the end of AMP10 in 2040.
The JV will work in an integrated way with the company to deliver capital projects and major schemes, including Anglian’s two reservoir developments in Lincolnshire and the Fens.
The company pointed out that the deal is: “One of the largest contracts of its type offered to date in the water industry, and by far the biggest delivery partner contract in UK infrastructure at present". It added: "This deal will help create the water infrastructure that underpins the region and will drive a significant boost to the country’s economy.”
