Affinity Water looks to shine in energy
Affinity Water is planning to equip up to 28 of its sites sites with solar arrays in the second stage of a programme to take its capacity from 1.58MW currently to 23.5 MW.
The company has reported that its existing two arrays generated 7.64 MWh of electricity during June has year saving more than £215,000 in energy costs. It said it anticipates investing £29m in solar power by 2050.
For the second stage of the programme Affinity Water will partner with Vital Energi.
