Affinity Water appoints new chair

Affinity Water has appointed Ian Tyler as an independent, non-executive director and chair designate.

Tyler’s appointment followed notification by current chair, Tony Cocker, of his intention to step down by the end of January 2021. Tyler will join the Affinity Water Board on 11 January 2021 and will be appointed as chair on 29 January 2021.

Tyler (pictured) has held a number of senior finance and operational positions within listed companies including group financial controller at Storehouse, finance director at ARC, finance director, chief operating officer and chief executive at Balfour Beatty from 2005 to 2013.

He is currently a non-executive director of BAE Systems, chair of Vistry Group, independent chair of AWE Management – which operates the Atomic Weapons Establishment on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and non-executive director and chair of Amey.
