Aecom appoints chief for new water business

Infrastructure consulting firm, Aecom, has appointed Jill Hudkins as chief executive of its new Water and Environment Advisory global business.
Aecom said the creation of the new business was a “key milestone in the company’s growth strategy” of developing “complementary, high-value businesses”. It said the Water and Environment Advisory global business will guide clients through “their largest and most complex water and environmental management challenges”. Its list of target “high-growth areas” include advanced digital water asset management and automation, environmental permitting, remediation of polyfluoroalkyl substances and “emerging opportunities for water solutions in high-tech environments”.
Hudkins was president at engineering consultancy, Tetra Tech, with more than 25 years in leadership roles at the firm. Aecom said she is “a respected authority in our industry” and led the advancement of digital applications and data analytics in Tetra Tech’s global operations in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure.
