WICS delays SRC21 draft determination

Scottish water regulator WICS has delayed the publication of its draft determination for Scottish Water for the 2021-27 Strategic Review of Charges (SRC21-27) on the back of Covid 19.

The Commission said “it would not be appropriate” to publish the draft decisions in May as scheduled, and that it would issue a further statement and updated timeline in due course. It reassured: “Notwithstanding this delay, we remain committed to working closely with stakeholders to deliver the transition to a long-term, sustainable industry that will bring benefits for current and future customers and the environment.”

WICS provided advice to the Scottish Government in April on the implications of the Covid emergency on SRC21-27.
