Environment Agency allocates an extra five months to river basin consultation

The Environment Agency has extended the deadline for submissions to its extensive river basin management consultation by five months, in light of the coronavirus outbreak. The new date for final submissions to Challenges and Choices is 24 September 2020.

This consultation seeks views on the challenges waters face and the choice and changes that will need to be made to tackle those challenges as well as who should pay for them. Responses will help shape the management of the water environment and specifically river basin management plan updates, starting with the publication of draft plans in 2020.
