Treasury appoints new chief executive for National Infrastructure Commission

The government has appointed James Heath as the National Infrastructure Commission’s chief executive officer.

Heath is currently Director of Digital Infrastructure at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and he is a former Director of Policy at the BBC. He will begin work at the Commission later in the spring, on a date to be finalised.

His appointment to the NIC was made by the Treasury in consultation with NIC chair Sir John Armitt. He succeeds Phil Graham, who has moved to the Greater London Authority as Executive Director for Good Growth.
