Severn Trent’s Tony Ballance to move to Cadent as chief regulation officer

Strategy and regulation director at Severn Trent, Tony Ballance, shas been appointed chief regulation officer at Cadent.

Ballance will join the gas distribution network company in April, after 15 years at Severn Trent where among other things he has led price review activities and a long running programme of activities promoting water trading.

“During this time of transformation and change not only for Cadent but also for the energy industry, Tony’s experience and leadership will prove invaluable in driving us forward through regulatory periods and for the benefit of our customers,” explained chief executive Steve Fraser, who has recently joined Cadent from United Utilities.

Severn Trent is understood to be in the process of appointing a successor for Ballance.
