Severn Trent Water in top tier of FTSE 100 firms on green, social and ethical counts

Severn Trent Water has been placed 11th in the first ranking of FTSE 100 companies on their environmental, social and ethical performance by anti-soundbite journalism project Tortoise Media.

The Responsibility 100 index is, according to Tortoise, based on publicly-available data and shows how the companies’ claims (their “talk” score) relate to what they actually do (their “walk” score).

The top-ranked form in the current table was Unilever followed by Diageo and Vodafone.
