UK leather giant to up water efficiency with Business Stream renewal

Business Stream has secured a £3m contract renewal with the UK’s largest leather manufacturer Scottish Leather Group.

The retailer has supplied the company since the Scottish market opened in 2008 and under the new three year deal will supply water and wastewater services across the manufacturer’s estate, provide trade effluent support and build on water efficiency activities.

Group sustainability and innovation director at Scottish Leather Group, Dr Warren Bowden, said: “Over the years we have worked hard to reduce our water use to half the European industry average and we will continue to work with Business Stream to identify greater environmental and operational efficiencies.”
