Anglian topples Google from top spot in best place to work poll
Anglian Water, this year toppled Google from first place in the 50 Best Places to work in the UK survey by recruitment firm, Glassdoor.
The annual voluntary and anonymous survey of employees at UK firms ranks the companies and their bosses.
Anglian Water’s chief executive Peter Simpson said Anglian employees were "encouraged to create wellbeing gardens at their own workplaces, take paid leave to volunteer for charity and get access to free advice and support from personal finance experts."
He added: “We’re always looking for people with new ideas and transferable skills, who aren’t afraid to take on a challenge.”
Only one other water company appeared in the Glassdoor top 50, Severn Trent Water, at 44th place.
Second place went to consultancy, Bain & Company, which was also the highest new entry.
