Welsh Water owner seeks new members to beef up governance and scrutiny

The non-shareholder owner of Welsh Water, Glas Cymru Holdings, is seeking new members –who are shareholder equivalents – to perform a vital performance scrutiny and corporate governance role

Glas said its members hold its board directors to account to ensure the needs of Welsh Water’s customers and other stakeholders are reflected in the holding company’s decisions.

Glas Cymru chairman, Alastair Lyons, said: “The success of our unique business model, which includes record levels of investment for customers, is in part due to the careful scrutiny of our board of directors by our members.”

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held on 2 October (Carmarthen), 5 October (Llandrindod Wells) or 8 October (Cardiff) 2018.
