MOSL’s former director of market engagement, Tom Notman, has founded water retail company, Olympos Water, and applied for water supply and sewerage licences to trade in the business market.
Olympos intends to provide an offering underpinned by technology and accurate meter readings, and in time to expand into multi-utility retail.
Giving notice of the licence application last week, Ofwat reported: “Olympos Water Limited’s ambition is to create a multi-utility provider that will occupy a gap in the current market, offering commercial developers an integrated network design to retail supply service. Olympos Water Limited represents the first step towards this vision with the addition of gas, electricity and telecom retail services following within a three to five year period.” Responses can be made to Ofwat until 31 August.
To date 35 retail licences have been granted including five self service licences.
