Northumberland chief awarded CBE

Chief executive of Northumbrian Water Group, Heidi Mottram (pictured), has been awarded a CBE for services to the water industry and business community in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

CBI Director General, Carolyn Fairbairn, said: "Heidi has been at the forefront of the business community for some years now, displaying inspirational and innovative leadership in her time with Northumbrian Water Group.

Before joining Northumbrian in 2010, Mottram was managing director at Northern Rail where she won an OBE for service to the rail industry in 2010.
