Thames Water appoints its first chief digital officer

Thames Water has appointed John Beaumont (pictured) as its first chief digital officer. Beaumont came to Thames after 12 years leading customer and operational-led transformations in infrastructure-heavy industries, at management consultant, Bain & Company.

He will start at Thames this month September. his remit will cover; responsibilities for IT, data analytics and the application of digital technologies across Thames Water.

Thames Water chief executive officer, Steve Robertson said: “Digital technologies have a huge part to play in finding more efficient ways to manage our networks and equipment. Having a chief digital officer will transform the way we work.”
