Castle Water bags Cobalt Water to boost its Scottish retail operations


Castle Water, has acquired Scotland based business water retailer Cobalt Water.

Cobalt’s management and staff will transfer to Castle Water and it will operate as part of Castle with a focus on customers in Scotland. Scott Macleod – who was Cobalt’s business development director – will become Castle’s managing director – Scotland, and Hugh Brown formerly commercial director with Cobalt will become sales director – Scotland, both reporting to Castle's chief executive, John Reynolds (pictured).

Reynolds, said “Cobalt stood out as the best fit with our customer-focused approach,” following a review of options to grow its Scottish business.

Cobalt Water managing director, Andrew Robertson, – whose role in the new operation is unclear at the time of writing – said “Cobalt Water has grown successfully for the past four years based on providing excellent value and customer service. We believe that, following the opening of the English market, customers will benefit from being part of a larger group.”
