Ofwat place three more pieces in the codes designation jigsaw

Ofwat has formally designated three more of the codes that will underpin the new legal and regulatory framework for the business retail market.

The Retail Exit Code, the Interim Supply Code and the Customer Protection Code of Practice were designated mid month, joining the Market Arrangements Code, designated on 8 March. The final piece of the codes jigsaw, the Wholesale Retail Code, will be designated at the end of the month.

The regulator has also published a document describing the new legal and regulatory framework in detail, including how and when each element will come into effect and the market architecture hierarchy.
