Business customers can now get accurate price quotes

Customers weighing up switching water retailer after 1 April will now be able to get accurate price quotes from prospective retailers for 2017/18 charges.

Wholesalers have published their tariffs for the year ahead, following final wholesale charging rules from Ofwat late last year. Retailers have also had their final determinations on business retail price controls, which lock in retail cost allowances and margins.

Large customers keen to engage with the new market have said the lack of accurate rather than indicative 2017/18 prices have hitherto delayed them making final decisions on supplier choice.
