Wild Justice loses fight for judicial review of Ofwat’s sewage regulation

Wild Justice has lost its appeal for permission for judicial review of Ofwat's regulation of sewage releases.

The wildlife campaigner said it was disappointed in the Court of Appeal’s decision, and believed it had a “strong and arguable case”. However it accepted “there is nowhere else to go” and hoped that trying to bring the case to court will have a positive impact.

Wild Justice commented: “Our view is that if we keep throwing ourselves against the door then we will sometimes break through, and even when we don't then we've rattled the windows as well as the doors and the residents know there is someone outside.”
